People’s Postcode Lottery has published a new report on the impact of the changes to the law on charity lotteries which came into force in summer 2020.

We’re Doing More highlights the reduction in bureaucracy and administration which has occurred because of charity lottery reforms

It also shows the very positive impacts the changes brought to charity funding, with an increase in the percentage charitable contribution from every Postcode Lottery subscription, and a doubling of the funding available to smaller charities and good causes in communities across Britain.

Commenting Robert Halfon MP, who wrote the foreword to the report, said: "This report illustrates some of the amazing work that charities are undertaking and the additional benefits which have accrued from the recent reforms. Further to this, the report explains how raised sales limits are already unlocking vital additional funding for charities, allowing them to concentrate on what they do best– be that supporting our elderly, conserving our green spaces, promoting animal welfare, or any number of other great causes."
Head of public affairs at People's Postcode Lottery, Malcolm Fleming, said: "Postcode Lottery players have an amazing impact every day through the charities they help fund. This report highlights lots of that work but also illustrates how the reforms to charity lottery law have helped these charities do even more.
"We thank all Parliamentarians who supported the changes to the law for helping make this happen!"
