Breast Cancer Now’s work is important all year round, but the month of October is globally recognised as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. October provides a unique opportunity to shout a little louder about everything Breast Cancer Now does to help those affected by breast cancer.

With more people across the UK living with a diagnosis of breast cancer than ever before, it’s vital that people facing breast cancer know about the specialist support that Breast Cancer Now provides.

So, this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to let as many people as possible know that Breast Cancer Now are here. And are here all-year round, too. Whatever breast cancer brings, Breast Cancer Now’s support services, trustworthy breast cancer information and specialist nurses are here. Ready to offer specialist support, whenever it is most needed. Dedicated campaigners are here. Fighting for the best possible treatment, services and care, for anyone affected by breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Now believe that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well. But to create that future, we need to act now.

People facing a diagnosis of breast cancer can feel isolated and overwhelmed when diagnosed with breast cancer, but people often struggle to find the information and support they need.

That’s why Breast Cancer Now have invested players’ funding into developing 'Here for You', so that patients can access a range of Breast Cancer Now support as soon as possible from the point of diagnosis. 'Here For You' is a volunteer driven referral service that helps newly diagnosed patients get the right support at the right time, through one simple referral.

‘When challenges seem insurmountable, action can be the antidote to despair. With the help of players’ wonderful support, Breast Cancer Now will continue to take action and make progress against the challenges that breast cancer currently brings to our families and communities. Thank you to players of People’s Postcode Lottery for your powerful support.’ Baroness Delyth Morgan, CEO of Breast Cancer Now.

With thanks to the £6,513,682 in vital funding raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, and awarded through Postcode Care Trust, Breast Cancer Now are able to be help people facing breast cancer the whole way through, no matter what they are facing.
