Players in Chester's CH2 1 postcode to share Postcode Millions prize.

Back to news

Neighbours in Chester are set to have a weekend to remember after it was announced today that they’ll be sharing a mega £3 million prize pot thanks to playing People’s Postcode Lottery.

Residents who play with a ticket in the postcode sector CH2 1 will each win a share of the money after it was revealed as the winning postcode sector in the lottery’s October Postcode Millions prize.

Lucky winners will find out exactly how much they’ve scooped on Saturday 2nd November.

Prize amounts will vary depending on how many tickets players have and whether they are in the full winning postcode – those playing with the full winning postcode will land the biggest prizes.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassadors Judie McCourt and Danyl Johnson will be in Chester on Saturday visiting some of the lucky winners.

Judie said: “It’s going to be a weekend to remember for all our lucky players in Chester! I can’t wait to meet some of our fabulous winners and hand out golden envelopes with some nice big cheques inside on Saturday.”

With a minimum of 32% of every ticket going to charities and good causes, players have raised more than £486 million for thousands of charities and good causes since 2005.

October’s Postcode Millions draw is being held on behalf of Postcode Global Trust which supports organisations working across the world to save lives, improve health care systems, and provide education and opportunities to alleviate poverty.

Local charities win too and lots of good causes supporting communities in Chester have been supported with funding raised by players. Last year, Clatterbridge Cancer Charity was awarded £20,000 to deliver one-to-one counselling support to people affected by the illness.
